Abstract

This subfile includes correspondence with Robert E.D. Cattley of UNB Dept. of Classics regarding Cattley's rental of the Gorham house where Beaverbrook had originally intended to build a rink. Beaverbrook says that he met with so much opposition that the property was ceded to UNB. Cattley praises Beaverbrook for particular books sent to the university library. Correspondence with Donald and Samuel Cromie discusses the Vancouver Sun, the Toronto Star, the Toronto "tele", and the Daily Express (London). There is correspondence regarding the mortgage on Beaverbrook's property in Nassau, Bahamas. Will Corbett of Newcastle writes concerning Beaverbrook's financial support of him during his illness.
